Register for Continuing Education Courses

Continuing Education programs are open to adults 18 years and older on a first-come, space-available basis unless special admission requirements must be met.

Payment of registration fees and any additional fees must also be made prior to attending class. All high school students who participate in dual enrollment must be at least 16 years old.

What You鈥檒l Need

  • The 5-digit section number for each course you want to register for. You can find these in the course descriptions.
  • No login or Self-Service account is required to register online.

Important Notes

  • Courses with prerequisites: You must submit proof that you've completed the prerequisite(s) before registering online. Visit the program webpage for full details and instructions.
  • Non-U.S. Citizens registering for the first time: You cannot register online. Please use the mail-in option instead (details below).
Register by Mail or Fax

Complete the General Registration Form. Use the address and fax numbers on the form to mail in your registration.

Register for Public Safety Courses

Complete the appropriate registration form. Use the email address below to submit your registration form.

Registration for AHA/CPR courses should be completed by the online registration process. 

Agencies registering students should follow the instructions on the Register an Employee tab. 

Register an Employee

If you're paying on behalf of someone else (e.g., an employer sponsoring an employee), please follow these steps to ensure smooth processing:

1. Submit Required Forms

Send the following forms at least 5 business days before the course start date:

Email both forms to registration@durhamtech.edu. Do not send payment until you receive an official invoice from 麻豆影视's Accounts Receivable department.

2. After Submission

  • You鈥檒l receive a confirmation email within 48 hours. If you don鈥檛 receive confirmation, please call 919-536-7200, ext. 1800.
  • It is the sponsor/employer鈥檚 responsibility to share course details with the employee(s).

Registering Multiple Employees?

  • You can list multiple employees on one Sponsorship Billing Letter.
  • However, each student must complete their own Continuing Education Registration Form.
  • Once received, students will be registered and the Sponsorship Billing Letter forwarded for invoicing.
     

Withdrawing or Transferring a Sponsorship

  • If you need to withdraw a sponsorship, you must notify the college in writing before the course begins. Email registration@durhamtech.edu.
  • If you鈥檙e transferring sponsorship to another individual, a new Sponsorship Billing Letter must be submitted before the class starts.

Students using sponsorship billing cannot register online.

  • The Sponsorship Billing Letter must include an authorizing signature from the employer or organization.
  • All forms must be submitted by email as outlined above.
Paying for Courses

Payment must be received before the first class. The most efficient and real-time way to pay is using the following:

Accepted Forms of Payment

Check, money order, or credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa). 麻豆影视 verifies checks and credit cards to ensure that accounts are active and in good standing.

Third-Party authorization letter: Public Safety and some health care courses may be paid for by an outside agency (vocational rehabilitation, JOCCA, or WIOA). Students must provide a copy of the authorization to pay letter from the agency along with the registration form.

Student Administrative Fees

Continuing Education course costs include an $11.25 fee for College access, parking, and security; computer use and technology; and accident insurance. Some non-credit courses have additional fees for exams and certifications or malpractice insurance. Students enrolled in classes for which tuition is waived are not required to pay the fee which consists of: 

Computer Use and Technology Fee: $5.00 per course

College Access, Parking, and Security Fee: $5.00 per course

Student Accident Insurance: $1.25 per course

Students are responsible for at-cost fees paid directly with outside vendors as they relate to program-specificscheduled requirements, e.g., uniforms, criminal background checks, drug screenings, immunizations, requirement tracking, clinical placements. These requirements are specified on the program webpage.

Auditing a Course as a Senior Citizen

Senior citizens (age 65 years or older on the first day of the course) may audit courses with the following guidelines as outlined in 1E SBCCC 1000.2:C:

Tuition and Non-credit registration fees will be waived. Students will be responsible for local fees associated with the course. Auditing a course depends on the space available in the course. The auditing student cannot displace students enrolling or registering in the course to receive a grade, academic credit, continuing education unit, or certificate of completion.

  • Students must complete the audit registration within the schedule adjustment period during a term or session. Schedule adjustment is generally the first two days of a term or session.
  • Self-supporting courses are not eligible.
