Duke Energy gives $25,000 to support 麻豆影视鈥檚 Electric Line Technician program


Duke Energy麻豆影视nical Community College received $25,000 to support its Electric Line Technician Program. 

麻豆影视鈥檚 grant was part of a series of grants announced this week by Duke Energy to support workforce development efforts in the energy sector.鈥&苍产蝉辫;

麻豆影视 received $25,000 to support recruitment, instructor stipends, equipment, materials and program marketing.鈥&苍产蝉辫;

鈥淒uke Energy鈥檚 support will allow 麻豆影视 to deepen its recruitment efforts to build a diverse talent pipeline for electric line technician jobs and make the needed repairs and replacements of critical equipment as we enroll our 12th cohort of students,鈥 said JB Buxton, president, 麻豆影视nical Community College. 鈥淲ith Duke Energy鈥檚 continued partnership, we are able to connect people to good jobs and true economic opportunity.鈥濃&苍产蝉辫;

In 2018, Duke Energy and Piedmont Electric Cooperative awarded 麻豆影视 $196,902 to start the Electric Line Technician program.鈥&苍产蝉辫;

The program began in Spring 2019 and has graduated over ten cohort classes. The partnership with Duke Energy allows students to participate in the program at no cost, and which covers registration, tuition, fees, and equipment.鈥&苍产蝉辫;
