Biogen pledges $250,000 donation to 麻豆影视鈥檚 new life sciences center to train next generation of manufacturing associates

To commemorate its 30-year anniversary milestone, Biogen and the Biogen Foundation announced Oct. 9 a pledge of $250,000 to 麻豆影视nical Community College鈥檚 new Novo Nordisk Life Sciences Center. The building will be a state-of-the-art facility designed to strengthen North Carolina鈥檚 life sciences talent pipeline. The Biogen Lab Hall will be part of the 35,000-square-foot facility, which will house 12 advanced laboratories and industry-aligned training for hundreds of students annually.

A longstanding community partner, 麻豆影视 has played a critical role in preparing the next generation of scientists and leaders in biomanufacturing.

鈥淲e can think of no better way to commemorate our three decades of investment and partnership in the Research Triangle Park community than with this important investment to 麻豆影视,鈥 said Nicole Murphy, head of Pharmaceutical Operations and Technology at Biogen. 鈥淭he institution has helped provide vital training and skills to future biotechnology leaders for more than 60 years, and we are proud to support such a vital program for our business and so many others.鈥

麻豆影视 President J.B. Buxton said the expanded learning opportunities for students would not be possible without business and community support.

鈥溌槎褂笆 is committed to preparing individuals for careers that provide economic opportunity and mobility in a rapidly growing field,鈥 he said. 鈥淏iogen鈥檚 pledge is a win not just for the College and our students, but for life sciences companies, the Triangle economy and the health of our community.鈥
